NBC 6 is looking for a Reporter
Position Title: WTVJ REPORTER
Location: WTVJ, Miramar

General Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for gathering news information and preparing for presentation in the newscast. Provide input to the show producer on show content and format. Also responsible for writing stories, headlines and news updates. Primary responsibility is to present newscasts to the viewer in a professional manner. Must develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local news stories. May be responsible for the presentation of breaking news to viewers both during live newscasts as well as outside regularly scheduled newscasts.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Must possess a minimum of three years television reporting experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must submit a resume/CV online to Job#: 1004725.
• Work overtime and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar location
• Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
• Must be 18 years or older
Desired:
• BA or BS in Journalism, Communications or Political Science preferred.
• General Assignment reporting skills preferred.
• Must have excellent writing skills as well as very strong speech skills.
• Must be able to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situations, particularly breaking news.
• Strong live reporting skills. Able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines.
• Possess the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
